Official wedding ceremony

More and more newlyweds want to marry in Montenegro, as being a state which is party to the Apostille Convention, the official documents issued in Montenegro are recognized in more than 80 countries in the world.

The official ceremony is a marriage registration, conducted in accordance with the law of the Republic of Montenegro with the issuance of certificates of state and international standards. The ceremony is held by the official representative of the municipality (matichar) in the Montenegrin language in the presence of an authorized sworn interpreter and two witnesses.

The official marriage registration ceremony can be held either directly in the municipality building or in any other site of Montenegro that you prefer (in the mountains, the sea, the beach, a restaurant or an ancient building).

Wedding package for two

The package includes the following services:

• organization and wedding coordinator services;
• selection of the wedding venue and site reservation;
• musical accompaniment during the ceremony (CD/MP3);
• submission of documents to the municipality;

• coordination of the date, place and time of the ceremony with a registrar;
• conducting the ceremony in the Montenegrin language;
• payment of state administrative fees for marriage registration;
• translation of documents into the Montenegrin language by a sworn translator;
• simultaneous interpreter services (required by the Montenegrin law);
• issuing marriage certificates of international standard;

• translation of the marriage certificate into the language of the newlyweds’ country of residence by a sworn translator;
• issuing an Apostille by the Montenegro public authorities;
• venue decoration: 2-3 bouquets of seasonal flowers on columns Ø 40 cm;
• bridal bouquet (2-4 types of seasonal flowers Ø 20 cm) and groom’s boutonniere;
• bridal hairstyle and make up.;
• wedding photographet for 2 hours

Basic package for small intimate wedding.

The package includes the following services:
• organization and wedding coordinator services;
• selection of the wedding venue and site reservation;
• musical accompaniment during the ceremony (CD/MP3);
• submission of documents to the municipality;

• coordination of the date, place and time of the ceremony with a registrar;
• conducting the ceremony in the Montenegrin language;
• payment of state administrative fees for marriage registration;
• translation of documents into the Montenegrin language by a sworn translator;

• simultaneous interpreter services (required by the Montenegrin law);
• issuing marriage certificates of international standard;
• translation of the marriage certificate into the language of the newlyweds’ country of residence by a sworn translator;
• issuing an Apostille by the Montenegro public authorities;
• venue decoration: starnard wedding arch or 4 bouquets on columns Ø 40-50 cm;
• decoration in restaurant;
• chairs for guests (up ti 15);

• bridal bouquet (5-7 types of seasonal flowers, Ø 30 cm) and groom’s boutonniere;
• champagne and glasses for the newlyweds and guests (up to 15 people);
• wedding cake (up to 3 kg with flower decoration) with delivery;
• bridal hairstyle and make-up;
• wedding photographer for 3 hours.

Basic wedding package for an official ceremony with wedding party.

The package includes the following services:
• organization and wedding coordinator services;
• selection of the wedding venue and site reservation;
• musical accompaniment during the ceremony (CD/MP3);
• submission of documents to the municipality;
• coordination of the date, place and time of the ceremony with a registrar;;
• conducting the ceremony in the Montenegrin language;
• payment of state administrative fees for marriage registration;;
• translation of documents into the Montenegrin language by a sworn translator;
• simultaneous interpreter services (required by the Montenegrin law);
• issuing marriage certificates of international standard;

• translation of the marriage certificate into the language of the newlyweds’ country of residence by a sworn translator;
• issuing an Apostille by the Montenegro public authorities;
• venue decoration: standard wedding arch or 4 bouquets on columns Ø 50-60 cm);
• decoration in restaurant;
• sound speaker & microphone for ceremony;
• bridal bouquet (5-7 types of flowers by bride wish, Ø 30 cm) and groom’s boutonniere;
• bridal hairstyle and make up;
• wedding photographer for whole day (11-13 hours);
• wedding videographer for whole day (11-13 hours);
• selection and booking of a location of a wedding banquet and coordination of banquet (the banquet is paid additionally).

Documents required for a marriage registration in Montenegro

– birth certificate;
– international passport – the main double-page (with a photo);
– marriage ability certificate (issued a registry office at the place of registration);
– divorce certificate (if a person was married before);
– international passports of two witnesses –  the main double pages (with photos).

Important! Scanned copies of these documents must be sent to us by e-mail at least 30 days before the date of the ceremony. The documents must not be older than 3 months at the time of marriage registration, and you must have original documents with you on the day of registration.

Important! For the official ceremony, a mandatory requirement is a preliminary personal meeting with the registrar. Under the law of Montenegro, the meeting is held 7 days before the wedding day, but sometimes this period can be reduced.

Wedding packages may be changed or supplemented according to your wishes and preferences. You can also order any of the additional services in addition to your package.

Some sites in Montenegro (for example, owned by hotels, monasteries or private individuals) are chargeable. The cost of renting such sites is paid additionally.

The cost of wedding packages includes the agency commission. On all additional services agency fee is 10% (with the exception of banquet). The cost of wedding packages does not include 21% VAT.
